Are you interested in ski touring and want to try it out under professional guidance or brush up on your knowledge? Then this course is just right for you. Here you will learn the basics of how to carry out a ski tour independently.
We focus on the correct behavior before and during the ski tour with active training in the search for buried persons. We will teach you the basics of modern risk management. This includes the right equipment, tour planning, snow and avalanche knowledge, interpretation of the avalanche report and application of assessment methods. We will also show you tricks for ascent and hairpin turns. The knowledge acquired will be applied and practiced in easy and safe terrain.
If required, you can borrow emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe) from us free of charge.
If you do not yet have ski touring equipment, you can also borrow it directly from us for a special price of €30. The course is conducted by our state-certified mountain guides. (VDBS)
